Sam joins Walking for Wellbeing sessions

Sam the PAT Dog has been going for some great walks with Oxfordshire Mind as part of their 'Walking for Wellbeing' sessions. The charity helps anyone concerned with their mental health and Sam has been doing his bit to cheer everyone up – the friendly golden retriever has even won over those who are nervous around animals.

Having Sam on the walks is a perfect opportunity for those who would love to have a dog but are unable to own one at present. Being near animals can help lower stress and walking dogs can bring a sense of purpose to exercise for some.

Walking for Wellbeing is a gentle, accessible and free walking group for those with experience of severe and enduring mental health, based in Oxford and Banbury. We're sure that word will spread that Sam is joining others on a stroll. He'll soon be in high demand!
