Leave a Gift in Your Will

PAT visits are integral to the health and wellbeing of local communities across the UK. Please help us to help future generations by leave Pets As Therapy a gift in your Will.

Legacy gifts and donations fund around a third of all our charitable work. Every gift, no matter the amount, will help to ensure people of all ages can enjoy a friendly therapeutic visit from a PAT Team.

There are two ways you can support the future work of our charity. Either contact your own solicitor to write or update your Will at your own cost, or take advantage of our partnership with the National Free Wills Network and write or amend your Will for free.

When writing a Will it's helpful to think about the type of gift you'd like to leave. You could:

• Leave a fixed sum of money (pecuniary) 
• Leave a percentage of your estate after other beneficiaries are taken care of (residuary) 
• Leave a particular item, such as property, antiques or shares (specific) 

 

Write or amend your Will for free

We've partnered with the National Free Wills Network to give you the chance to write or amend your Will for free. All we ask is that once you've provided for those close to you, you'll consider leaving a gift to Pets As Therapy to help us make a difference to people's lives – for decades to come.

Simply complete our online form (please scroll down and click on the button below) and we'll arrange for information to be sent to you from the National Free Wills Network – this includes a list of participating qualified solicitors in your local area, who will be able to help you write or amend a simple Will for free. You should receive your Free Will pack within 14 days of submitting the form.

Please note that you are not obliged to leave a gift to Pets As Therapy if you choose to write your Will for free.

Remembering someone you love

Donating in memory of someone you love or a faithful pet is also a wonderful way to celebrate a life, and it can be comforting to know that this special tribute will help others. You may wish to make a one-off gift, donate a funeral or memorial collection made in lieu of flowers or remember a loved one or animal companion regularly on a birthday or anniversary.
