As a fully self-supporting charity, Pets As Therapy (PAT) relies on the hard work of our visiting volunteers, the support of corporate sponsors and the generosity of fundraisers. 

From organising a coffee morning or cheese and wine evening to a swim-a-thon or ‘guess the baby’ competition, there are lots of fun ways you can fundraise for Pets As Therapy. Set yourself a challenge, hold a sports day, put on a dog show, organise a sponsored dog walk — help support a good cause. Every donation helps us to continue our visits and will ensure that everyone in the UK, no matter their circumstances, has access to the companionship of an animal. What's more, if you opt in to Gift Aid, Pets As Therapy can claim an extra 25p from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for every £1 you donate.

About Gift Aid: Gift Aid is a scheme which allows charities such as Pets As Therapy to reclaim basic rate tax paid on any money donated to them by UK tax payers. Every gift you make to Pets As Therapy, whatever its value, could be worth more if you choose to Gift Aid it – at no extra cost to you. For example, if you donate £20 we can claim an extra £5, making your gift worth £25. Every year an estimated £560million is left unclaimed by UK charities so, if you can, please Gift Aid any donation you make.

• How do I set up a fundraising page?

  There are websites such as Enthuse that allow you to create your own fundraising web page. Once created, people can donate to your campaign and leave a supportive message. The money you raise, including any Gift Aid, is automatically paid to Pets As Therapy. 

• How do I pay my fundraising money to you?

  If you’ve set up an online giving page then you don’t need to do anything - your online page updates your personal fundraising automatically.

  Call us and pay in your fundraising money over the phone using your credit or debit card. We are open Monday to Thursday, 9am - 3.30pm on 01865 671440.

• How do I claim Gift Aid on the money I raise?

  If you have created a fundraising page on a fundraising site, they will ask each individual who donates to your campaign if they would like to add Gift Aid. They will process Gift Aid on all eligible donations and pay the funds directly to Pets As Therapy.

  If you are paying the money directly to us and are unsure if you have a Gift Aid Declaration with us, simply download and complete the form and email to us at reception@petsastherapy.org.
