Reunited at The Ridings care home

A friendly PAT Dog called Ghillie is visiting again after almost two years – and residents at The Ridings care home in Banbury, Oxfordshire, are thrilled, especially one gentleman, Fred, who couldn't wait to give his chum a cuddle and a treat.

"Fred has a heart attack only three weeks ago, but thankfully he is recovering well now," says PAT Volunteer Nick, who owns Ghillie. "Dressed in a mask, apron and gloves, Fred didn't recognise me initially, but as soon as he saw Ghillie, he knew who we were. It's been such a long time since our last visit to the home. It was so great to bring smiles back to these lovely people. We are now planning to visit the home every Thursday morning."
