Happy Hallowe’en from Curly and Mouse!

Curly, a 13-year-old Lakeland terrier, has been a PAT Dog for over nine years, and he's celebrating Hallowe'en this year with his four-legged friend Mouse, a Bedlington terrier who's three and is also a PAT Dog. Along with their owner, volunteer Natalie Best, they normally visit Springfield Care Home in Bradford, as well as Leeds University and the Intensive Care Unit at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield.

Natalie tells us: "Curly is pretty much deaf and could do with glasses as his close-up visition isn't so great. However, he adores sitting on people's knees and is still very active so still enjoys his PAT visits. Mouse joins me on most of my visits though."

Natalie also explains that she's been sending postcards of the dogs to the establishments since the first lockdown, just to keep in touch. "Curly and Mouse have their own dressing up wardrobe now. Poor things, they are very tolerant, but the costumes are only ever worn briefly for photos."
