PAT Dog Meg is back on the wards

PAT Dog Meg and her owner Jo are delighted to be back volunteering at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. It's been a long time since they were allowed to visit, but a warm welcome awaited the PAT Team.

"We went back with a bit of trepidation but we need not have worried," smiles Jo. "We were welcomed with open arms and it was no problem for me to wear a mask. Meg took to visits again like a duck to water, and is cheering up patients with brain injuries in the rehab unit."

Indeed, Meg is so popular that she's been asked to visit more often. "This will enable us to take part in therapy sessions as well as visiting all the paitents who want to see Meg. We're both happy to do this."

And Jo tells us she's found an excellent means of transport for her four-legged friend. "She sits in a wheelchair, which enables us to get her closer to the patients. She seems to throughly enjoy it!"
