Goodwoof announces Pets As Therapy as its official charity partner for 2023!

Pets As Therapy is thrilled to be receiving the support of Goodwoof during 2023, as the prestigious event announces that PAT has been selected as its official charity partner.

Clare Davis, Pets As Therapy CEO, says: "This is a wonderful partnership with an event that shares Pets As Therapy's belief that dogs truly benefit the wellbeing of the humans they interact with, whilst ensuring the wellbeing of the animal is of paramount importance."

To celebrate the launch of Goodwoof, presented by MARS Petcare on Saturday 20 May and Sunday 21 May 2023, registration is now open for a blow-the-cobwebs-away Goodwoof Big Dog Walk at the Goodwood Motor Circuit from 12noon to 2pm on Sunday 6 November 2022, straight after Breakfast Club.

The leisurely circuit is just under 2.5miles and is sure to be an enjoyable walk - without traffic or other obstacles to hinder families and their hounds. It’s the perfect place for a Sunday stroll and a lovely opportunity to meet up with friends and their dogs too.

Entry for the walk is completely free, but donations to Pets As Therapy are very much encouraged. Earlier this year, the inaugural Goodwoof raised over £30,000 for charity thanks to the generous support of Goodwoof visitors and supporters.

Special guests on 6 November include Diego, a gentle Great Dane, and his owner, Carlos, who love riding in their motorbike and sidecar combination. Locals around their home in Wembley are used to spotting Carlos on his motorbike with Diego snuggled in the sidecar sporting goggles to keep the wind out of his eyes.

“We are very much looking forward to heading down to the Goodwood Motor Circuit to celebrate the launch of tickets becoming available for next year’s Goodwoof," says Carlos. "It's a chance to enjoy all the sights and sounds of the legendary Breakfast Club and, of course, support the amazing and essential work that Pets As Therapy carry out.”

More about Goodwoof

The organisers of Goodwoof state “this is a celebration of all that we love about dogs on the Goodwood Estate. It takes place in the fields around the James Wyatt designed dog kennels, which is now the social home of our sporting membership on May 20th and 21st 2023. With the welfare of dogs at the forefront of the weekend, the event offers a wide range of activities and demonstrations designed to delight, entertain and inform. Dog owners and their families and friends can encourage their own dog to have a go, browse our carefully hand-picked retailers, enjoy a dip in Fido’s Lido, sit back with a glass of Taittinger champagne, relax in The Studio, presented by Randox with a spot of sound-bathing, reiki or dog yoga, or marvel at the clever kennels designed by architects from the UK and beyond in the Mastercard presented competition, Barkitecture.
