If you’ve been following the story of PAT Volunteer Emma Tyreman and her cocker spaniel Hansie in The People’s Friend, the next instalment can be found in the issue dated 16 February.

We were delighted to be invited to the magazine’s 150th anniversary celebrations in Dundee earlier in the year, and PAT Area Coordinators Yvonne and Malcolm Gosling, along with their eight-year-old Shih Tzu Rosy, attended the party. From all accounts, Rosy was the star of the show — a big achievement for a little dog who is slowly recovering from a nine-day hospital stay and two blood transfusions. However, thankfully Rosy is on the mend. ‘I’ve been an avid reader of the “Friend” for 50 years so was delighted to meet everyone,’ smiles Yvonne. ‘The team were so welcoming and very interested to hear all about Rosy’s visits and, of course, have a cuddle.’ Check out the photos and video of the night here.
