We know how so many of our wonderful volunteers have been celebrating volunteers week with special events.  We would just like to say a huge thank you from Pets As Therapy and leave you with our Chairs reflections on volunteering:

Happy Volunteers Week! – I do hope you are all having a good week.

I am touched by the passion, compassion and love for our animals and a love of sharing that love. I have such a strong image of all of your values of kindness and reaching out to others.  Why this touched me was that volunteering has become much more important in my life. Like you, I love sharing Cesc my dog with others and at the same time feeling so privileged to hear their stories, making connections and recognising how we all make a difference to each-others’ lives.  I remembered that as a teenager (those self-centred years!) not understanding why my mother volunteered – she worked full time, ran the house and brought up 4 children, I thought she had enough to do.  I do understand now and am pleased I share that value with her and you all too.  I feel energised to do all I can and my level best to make our Charity the very best for people who need us, and for the volunteers and staff.

Thanks to you all so much for putting yourselves forward to do this vital work.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

With best wishes
